Actually this group The Neo-Black Movement of Africa (also called Black Axe) emerged from the University of Benin in Edo State. Just like groups like pyrates which was founded by Wole Soyinka and co at the University of Ibadan.
These groups didn't start as a violent group but was made violent by politicians and these started during IBB regime
